Default Suspension setup for nonsteggered setup?

Hey guys.

I have a nonstaggered setup, (almost; 255r 245f) and I'm trying to figure out the right suspension to use.

I know some of you guys run 255s all around, so maybe you'll be able to help me out.

Most coilovers out there are made for the stock staggered setup so they'll be useless to me. Or is there some coilovers that might work?

I was also thinking Konis and Ground Controls but I'm not sure what spring combination to go with.

Please advise. Thank you

You should look in to the HKS Hypermax III. I believe they work really well for a nonstaggered setup if you are looking to retain your stock sway bar. I run kw v3's with a saner front sway. My setup is really balanced even though my coilovers were meant for a staggered setup.

Ground control coilovers also offer 7.7 front and rear.....any opinions?

imo, you need to have a softer springs or shocks or both for the rears to control oversteer. but i dont have personal experience in the non staggered setup. and or add stiffer front sway bars (anti roll bars)

A stiffer front sway bar is essentially increasing your front spring rates.

Look at what the s2k challenge competitors are doing with their cars...that shroud give you a good idea They list mods and lap times so you can compare (although everyone runs an identical set up in each class...hint..hint). There is a wealth of information on this site that will answer all your questions but you have to search for them.

I've been searching for a while. I'm just trying to get some opinions at this point.
where did you see s2k challenge competitors listing the mods?

BC coilovers come in 10k/10k

GC coilovers can be had in 11k/11k or the fronts can be made softer (9k?)

I do have Whiteline front sway bar that I'm waiting to put in....

Check here and look through some of the actual event threads as there are many discussions about set ups.

It'll give you an idea of what is popular.
