Default Suspension tuning

I occasionally track my car so I eventually want to get coils, and since im going 17x9 this year im getting a front sway bar. But im a noob when it comes to spring rates, sway bars and dampening.
I know a front sway bar reduces oversteer and the higher the spring rate the stiffer the spring, but what does the sway bar do to result in this, and how does the stiffer spring effect the cars handling on track?
Does anyone know any articles that explain how all of these work and how it affects the car? Or can explain some of it

My suspension tuning web page: http://robrobinette.com/S2000KWV3Tuning.htm Although it says KWV3 there's a lot of general tuning info.

Sounds like your looking for some basic level of understanding. Suspension is very complex and I don't mean to over simplify it but this may help. First understand that increasing front spring rate generally makes the front less grippy relative to the rear. More rear rate makes the rear less grippy relative to the front. So if your rear is breaking loose and you want to change that, decrease rear rate or increase front rate.
Next, sway bars are springs. Just think of them as adding rate to the front or rear of your car.
Last, generally speaking, higher spring rate means better high speed stability but less low speed corner grip. That being said, TOO low a rate is worse everywhere and TOO high a rate is also. And higher rates are only good if the shocks can handle them.

THIS IS OVERLY SIMPLIFIED. But should get you started.

This works since I was thinking about KWV3s eventually. And I love your site, the ball joint guide helped me a ton when I was doing my wheel bearing, thanks!
