Is this sway bar upside down?

anyone know if the endlink connected to the control arm is supposed to be on the back side instead of the front side also ?

Yes, that bar is upside down. Here is a pic of how it should be installed:
On my car, in order to set the bar on full stiff (the hole furthest forward on the arm), the endlink must be installed on the forward side of the tab on the control arm. For medium (middle), or full-soft (the hole at the end of the arm), the endlink needs to be on the back side of the mounting tab.
