Default Is there a list of all the front sway bars available....

for our cars?

I went to my first autox event with my new set up of tires and camber adjustments.....HORRIBLE!!!!!

I thought I was going to be able to do without a thicker front sway bar but after spinning once on the first run, 5 times on the second run , once again on the 3rd run and nailing 3 cones as my car sideways on the last run.....then I DEFINITELY need a thicker front sway bar.

My car runs great on street tires (205/225)....but since I went to a 225/245 setup I think the extra contact up front is definitely screwing me up.

The 245 Kumho is as wide as the 225 S02's.....

Back to the list of sway bars.....which one do you guys recommend, how much are they and how difficult is the installation? I need to get one ordered pronto!!!! Thanks!!!

Check the archives -- the most commonly-used (but expensive) options are the Comptech and Gendron bars.

There were some breakage issues with the first generation Comptech bar; it's not clear whether or not these have been rectified in the new revision. Nationals were won with a Gendron bar last year.

The Saner bar's a new, inexpensive option, but I'm not sure if anyone's fitted one yet.

Here's a link to some nicely priced solid 30mm swaybars also...

I use the 225/245 Kumhos on my '02 S2000 (OEM wheels, stock suspension). My 1st thought about your oversteer issue is that you may be running too much air pressure in the rear. I have found that the pressure in the rear (hot or cold) should not be higher than 32 PSI, or they won't stick. The front pressure doesn't seem to be as sensitive for me, but I try to run them anywhere from 32 to 35 PSI.

I am not 100% clear on what the braces do
Why do you guys only recommended changing the front when you oversteer? Isn't the brace makes the car more stable and holds the tires on the road better? So wouldn't the S benefits a rear brace instead of the front?

I have 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. I tend to oversteer a fair bit on motorkhanas. What should I do or need?

Could some one kindly explain?

I think I found the answer

the front sway bar helps stabilise the car during hard corners and thus holds the rear wheels on the tarmac better

Could someone kindly clarify this

Thanks in advance
