Default For those tracking on 255 non staggered

Having been following with interest staggered vs non staggered setup. Decided to take the plunge and go for a Non staggered setup, 255 all round on 17 wheels.
Prior setup was 225 front and 255 rear. rubber are R compunds, Bridgestone RE55S.

Will appreciate if you are runnning non staggered and can share what alightment you are running on.

Specfically I like to know if its better to run greater degree camber in front or rear?

With my castor kit, will it be recommended to max out on the castor? (possiblely as high as 8 degrees)

Appreciate all inputs and advice.

You have SPC ball joints in the front, right?

Ill just give you what you're asking for.

Front caster: maxed/over 6 degrees at least.
Front camber: -2.2
Front toe: 0 all around

Rear toe: 36 degrees total
Rear camber: -2.7

Squirle thanks for your input. are you running on 255 non staggered as well? Just wondering if you had tried more camber for front than rear before and if so what was the feedback

I don't think you'd want to put more front camber than rear, is there a reason you want to do that? You want to adjust camber to match the temperature of the tire and range you want it operating at. So far my alignment's working wonderfully, but since I do get alignments for free, maybe I'll go find out for you one of these days, I can't see it helping my current car setup however.

And yes, that alignment setting is popular with the 255 all around crew, or near it.

+1

Ideally you want a 20*F spread with the insides being hotter. If he's over-sprung in the front and wants to reduce front grip, more front camber will utilize less of the tire...

That might be one way of looking at it.

Most longer-wheelbase cars (and especially strut-type front suspension cars that don't have camber-gain with compression travel) have more static front camber than rear.

Many spec-miatas also have more front camber than rear, but they don't have the front grip levels of the S2K.

Can anyone tell me if the 255 on 4 AP2 rears all around would rub on the front with stock suspension? Assuming 5mm spacers to get the wheels to fit. Thanks!
