s2kpearlwhite,

What coilovers are you running?

I am running nonstaggered 255x40x17 on OEM rears with kw coilovers.

camber F -2.25, R -2.75
toe F 0, R 1/8 total

hope this helps
Mark

Can anyone tell me if the 255 on 4 AP2 rears all around would rub on the front with stock suspension? Assuming 5mm spacers to get the wheels to fit. Thanks!
they fit. and you don't need spacers.

You do need to have a machine shop machine the OEM rears to fit the larger front hub if you are not using spacers.

What else have you added to the car to warrant more front cmber than the rear Emilio? Just wondering

Pyro readings indicate that's what the tires want. Once that's done I'll mess with sway bars and springs to adjust weight transfer to get the handling balance I want.

The Tein S-Tech's are 300F/360R. With the sway bars I have now, I know I need to change the front to rear roll couple. I'll probably end up with a 32mm Cusco front bar and maybe S-Tech rear springs both front and rear. Trying to get the balance without lowering too much and maintaining decent street ride quality.

It amazes me the lengths Honda went to make sure the car would rotate freely. Virtually every aftermarket coilover, lowering spring and sway bar set mimics this rearward roll couple bias. I thought everyone knew something I didn't but the more I dig into it I see that rearward FRC bias is just, um wrong.

The Miata is also pretty close to 50/50 weight distribution. A typical dialed track Miata has 700lb fronts and 400 lb rears. Different motion ratio but with sway bars factored in you have an FRC (front roll couple) of about 64%.

Using the Miatas motion ratios (not quite the same stagger) and plugging in my S2000's parts, I get 32.1% FRC. Yikes, no wonder it's so loose.

Motion ratios for the S are published and posted here (S2KI)

Why not just swap your springs?

Front to rear? Thought of that, we'll see.

The only motion ratio's I saw posted here were of the napkin sketch variety. You know any more precise?

After 3 events, 3 alignments, some pyrometer readings, and general observations my alignment last year was:

Front:
-3.5* camber
+7* caster
0 toe

Rear:
-3.3* camber
+1/16" total-toe

Car was on 255 NT01's with KW V3, SPC adj. ball joints, ST FSB (stock rear bar), APR GTC300 wing.

This year I changed the shocks to AST customs with 700# springs all around and Saner FSB. I set camber to -3.5 all around and I'll adjust from there... once the season begins here.
