$8

I recommend:

4 R hooks
2 10' straps for the front
2 8' straps for the rear

They make straps with the R-Hooks attached as well.

I like the R-hooks very much, but I was not willing to buy straps that incorporated the R-hook or was only designed for the R-hook because I feel straps are a replacement item and I did not feel the need to keep buying R-hooks.

Here is a pic of my hooks and the clasp at the end of my straps. I was not about to use a simple J-hook on the end of the tie-down straps, I wanted something that was very secure.

My R hooks arrived from Macs today. I've spent an hour trying to get these things to fit. Do they come in different sizes? I slide the longer side "T" up through the hole, but the hole isn't big enough to slide it in far enough to get the small opposite end to tuck up in. It's 12 degrees outside ... so I've given up for tonight.

Any suggestions? ARG!

Try inserting it at 90* to the length of the hole, then after it's in turn it back 90*.

Okay, in the freezing cold ... I spent an hour trying to put these things in the wrong damn hole! What an idiot.

They work perfectly.

That's what I suspected, but I didn't want to risk insulting your intelligence on the board .
