Tie-down attach points?
no to both, tho the e brake isn't gonna hurt that bad, I forget the reason but I have been told that you really shouldn't use it. I don't have an ebrake so I don't have a choice
towing in gear causes the pistons to rub up and down over a very small section of the cyl wall without lubrication and can wear that spot more than the rest, and the gears in the tranny rock back and forth against each other and they aren't being lubed. Also puts the tranny under load while the car bounces around. Neutral is the way to go. Tho if you insist on leaving in gear press the clutch in after you get the car all tied down to loosen up the driveline so that you have some play.
Use tiedowns and chocks to make sure the car stays on the trailer.

The tie-down points are rounded rectangles, about 3/4x1". They are plugged with rubber plugs from the factory. But there should be 4 tie-down points

also what directions should i have the tie down straps facing when i get it up on the flatbed

A is the preferred method
B is how I actually do it.
Also, make sure you know the load rating of EVERY piece you're using. That includes. Tow vehicle, tow vehicle tires, hitch receiver, ball, trailer, trailer axles, trailer tires, tie down strap, ratchet, clamps, hooks, etc. And don't forget to make sure you have sufficient braking capability.
thank you very much
im renting a budget truck with a flatbed trailer to move from buffalo, ny to NJ. they said they will have all tie downs and will show me how to use them. even i know they wont have a clue what to do with an s2000. but thanks for the picture it really cleared things up

any trailershop can get you the right tie downs. More importantly are the hooks
Both davepk and I use the "R" hook that is listed on the page sideways posted.

They are the correct fit for the 4 tie down points that are behind the jack points. I then install the tie-downs in an X.
Front Right Tie-Down on the Car to Left Front Point on trailer, etc. make an X in the front and an X in the rear.

Okay ... search on their site for R Hook didn't find it ... but I found it the old fashioned way in the product index. Here's the direct link:

So what straps connect to the R hooks? Is the ring large enough for a strap like these?
