tire pressures
I find that the car is squirrely if I let the pressures go to or over 40, and most comfortable at about 38/37 or a hair lower. I usually start with them at 32 and check them after each session. Unfortunately the pressures give up a little on a cool down lap so unless you get a pressure reading in the hot pit after a hard lap it is bit of a guesstimate.
Some of this will vary depending upon the car, tires, driver, track, and temprature.

How about autoX. I've been running 36 to 38 evenly, on a non S2K drivers advice. Anyone have a suggestion for me (stock S02's)?

My rear end won't stick at all at 32 psi. I run it at 34. It makes a big difference, surprisingly. I run the fronts at 37. I'm actually thinking of increasing the rear pressure.
At 35/32, I got ugly oversteer. At 35/34, I got friendly understeer. At 37/34, it seems just about right. It's a little oversteery, but quite controllable, a little understeery at really slow speeds due to the lack of engine braking at low RPM's. This is while running -1.75deg front and -1.5 rear on stock S-02's. I actually started at 37/34 on a racer's advice and the car handled great that day (I don't think there were any street-tire cars faster than me, but it was a practice day and I didn't see all the times, and they weren't posted), but I had to try and be smart and experiment and I don't get another chance to run until september.
My impression was also that the tires tend to overheat fast. Anyway, I had a lot of trouble equaling my early times, but then again I was letting my tire pressures get all over the map, so that may have been my problem.
