Ouch, Same weekend as the Pro Solo finale and when most people will be in route to Topeka for Nats.

 

That was the date that the guys from S2K came up with. You can check the Midwest forum.

10 entries comprising 6 or 7 cars at the Finale, or 5 times that attendance for Nats, is hardly "most people". But most of the "hardcore people", for sure!

We need some help to get this event off the ground. I lost the help of the person that was going to design the course layout and generally run the event. I don't have the experience to run this event.

Is there anyone that can help?

I can help with the track layout and also getting the word out. I can check to see what is available on our end to help with the running. If you like I can check with Bridgestone to see if they want to get involved and help. I can check with Matt to see if they can help with the general running of the event as well. I think we can handle it with your help. Maybe there are some people in the club that can help.

I would love attend and help out at an autox at the Tire Rack, but Sept 7 is a bad date. Most of the serious S2K autocrossers I know will already be in Topeka for the SCCA Finale or on their way there for the National Championship on Tue/Wed.

Looking at the Midwest forum, it looks like the date was picked out of the air by Urmil without any input from many of the people who would want to attend the event.


I wish everyone the best of luck with the event and hope that it goes well so I can attend the next event held there.

 

What kind of entry fee will there be? Im 99% sure Im gonna come. What are you talking about with getting bridgestone involved- some kind of a prize?
