Default Tires rubbing the spring perch in the front.

Only under full lock as far as I can tell. These are only going to be used on track. So I don't see myself using full lock too often. Is this dangerous?

Wheels are 17 x 9 +63.
Tires are 245/45/17

Stock suspension.

How bad is it? Keep in mind the suspension moves up and inwards as it compresses.

Are you sure it's the tires?

I run the same size wheels, and I can't go full lock without rubbing the upper control arm with the wheel.

if it's only at full lock you should be ok, but make sure it doesn't rub when you're not at full lock and the suspension is traveling up and down too.

it's a combo of your offset, tire size, and your stock suspension....best solution would be to upgrade to coilovers...they will have a smaller perch. cheapest solution will be to go with a narrower tire.

Yeah, I think it is the wheel. It's crazy that when the wheel is straight it feels like there is a ton of room back there.

while you could fix it with getting a lower offset wheel....a different tire size or coilovers will fix it too....good excuse to pick up some coilovers if you ask me.

haha yeah.

I just tested it. It hit on the rim protector lip on the tire. It only hit on the drivers side, which is the side I turned to coming out of the driveway. So either my driveway puts a funky angle on the car, or I need to lose weight.

I have an autocross on a really bumpy lot tomorrow, so that should be a good test before my first trip to Sebring.

I got a lot of fender tab rub too though, so spacers would make that worse also.

Results from today's autocross. Fender liner / fender tab tire rub. Tire rub on the spring perch and wheel to control arm contact.

I think I am just going to drive it as is and try to avoid full lock. Sometimes that's not easy in autocross though.
