Yo,

My .2 cents is look at getting a truck safety is first . By this I mean yo will not need to worry if you stack your car .Or even break the vehicle going to or even at the track . Meaning you now need to hire a tow truck get a rental and still figure out how to get to work on monday

Yo.

Any idea how many times I can have my car flat-bedded back to Seattle from Portland or Spokane (and a rental to get me to work) before I've even paid for the gas for a tow vehicle, much less the vehicle and trailer itself? I get close to 30mpg dragging my tire trailer; a truck pulling a car/trailer might get 8, if lucky.

Sure the "ideal" is to have a nice big, plush pickup, with a trailer (hell, get a nice enclosed trailer, so that you can escape the rain, and store your stuff overnight with a modicum of security, and even have a place to store your car between track days), but that's very expensive. And causes a significant storage issue, as well.

For years I also did what 124Spider and gomarlins3 do.

That's grassroots tracking. I miss those days.

I think he's got one of the original Hammerly hitches. A version of those is now being made by Doug Chase. http://www.chaserace.com/
