Your list mentions to check and bleed the clutch fluid, but nothing about checking and bleeding the brake fluid. It probably seems obvious, but I'd add it.

For a first timer, I wouldn't bother with him checking tire temperatures and brake temperatures. that's for OCD folk who are hooked on track days. For his first time out he should just make sure the car is mechanically sound and that he HAS FUN!

that's a super extensive list and makes mine seem pedestrian:

1. Check oil
2. go to event and Unpack car and get car teched
3. drive, checking oil after every session
4. win awards
5. pack car up and drive home

I don't think I check tire pressures, let alone temps.

Not sure how that got erased of the list but thank you that is one of the very first things I do.

You got it, half the list is for me, so some of the OCD stuff is something I want.

I'm sorry, but this is not only bad advice, it's dangerous advice. Tire pressures on track can get extremely high and compromise handling.

And, like the SCCA suggests, a single long piece of duct tape covering the terminals, cause this is a major fire hazard, especially if you roll.

whoa, I'm not saying it's "advice", I'm just saying this is what *I* do. I'm just too lazy to check temps/pressure between sessions.

Also, dangerous? how so (Besides making the car handle differently between sessions)?
