What would be a reasonable asking price for a 2003 fully caged, track ready AP1 with a hurt engine. Timing chain guide broke and was making a nasty noise, while I had the whole engine apart I went ahead and replaced the rod bearings but I must have messed up because now it has rod knock... looking to cut bait

Extremely depends on who build cage and how many points. Because a "cage" can cost from $1500-$15k. I would start price at $3k with no engine though. Sounds like engine is a total lost and replacement these days is $4k+.
Clean Title, Track ready S2000 with ~290k miles on the chassis. Built for NASA TT4 or TT5 competition. Replaced engine with 2001 unit with ~175k miles. Engine is making a knocking noise after replacing the rod bearings. All bushings, wheel bearings, hubs, ball joints replaced, and rotors; all 4 brake calipers re-built less than 250 miles ago. Rebuilt engine wiring harness using DEI loom kit.
