Track Trailer Update
Well the setup is finally complete. I've had the trailer since the week after S2K days and no way to pull it or any reason to. Well once the wheels arrived last week I began making the final preparations and as of this afternoon it's done. The hitch is installed and all the wiring complete!
Here is the final result!

Very nice!
Did you have someone do the electrical wiring? I ran the power lead for my trailer lighting converter off of the accessory power outlet wire, but it may be overloaded now that I upgraded the stereo, which is on the same circuit.

Mack great looking trailer. I've been considering one but wasn't much interested in cutting the rear bumper to accommodate the hitch. Looks from your photos that you have accomplished a trailer solution without surgery.
I take it this is a Southsport fabrication?
Really looks good.
I'm going to call Brian or Debbie tomorrow for a quote.

I didn't realize that the south sport tongue was so long, it must tow nicely. I'll have to keep that in mind when modifying my Northern Tool special.
Who's hitch is that? Does it interfere with the exhaust at all? It looks close.

Thanks for all the questions!

Pricing.....lets see. The trailer runs 795.00 plus shipping. I think that ran another 100.00 or so. The hitch ran 240.00 or so this included shipping. UHaul caries an adapter for the wiring and a 2" ball for 50.00. If you do all the work youself the labor is free if not that might run you another 100.00. So lets see the grand total is 1285.00 installed. Damn, I wish you hadn't asked that question!!
Really though for the money you cant beat it. The SouthSport Trailer is incredible. Fit and finish is great and it actually has it's own independent suspension!
The hitch installed without a hitch
I think the most difficult part of the project was removing all the trim panels in the trunk and installing two blind bolts in the frame rails underneath the trunk.

I didn't do the wiring. I took it to Uhaul. Figured they were the trailer wiring experts. hey actaully had the Stook in their book and new exactly whick adapter I needed. It took the guy about 10 min. to complete the work. I had already removed all the trim panels in the trunk so the wiring was all exposed. I think he tied it all in at the left tail light. I fed the plug through a flapper located in the rear trunk wall. I think its there to release air from the trunk when you close it. From that point I fed the wire behind the bumper and down to the hitch. You could also run it out above the tag.

I came that close to having the black frame color matched but didn't do it.......I'm still contemplating my options. Thoughts?!

No need to cut the bumper. The hitch fits with nothing more than a few holes to drill. SouthSport didn't actually provide the hitch. It's a Dalan from http://www.hitchweb.com
I worked with Nabcy at SouthSort she was very friendly and kept me informed throughout the process.

No problems with the hitch or clearance. It's a Dalan.
