Track Trailer Update

I'm working on an easy way to release the hitch from the car. At this point I've used some flat retainer rings that hold the bolts in place if you remove the hitch. This is pretty easy to do since all six bolts are visible and and easily accessed. At this point it would take about as long to drop the hitch as it would to swap out one of my racing wheel/tires. I'd really like to find some kind of "quick-release" mechanism but don't yet have that worked out.I figure unless I'm running in a Divisional or National Comp. Then I'll just leave it in place.
As for rust. I havent addresses it my install but it would be very easy to rust proof the holes if you felt the need.

I was suprised about that myself. I'm sure it's got to help the ride and as I said above the trailer actually has it's own suspension to. I've yet to get the car out on the road with the trailer behind but I'd guess top speed with it would have to be 150 or so!!!
Seriously if I can cruise at 70-80 on the interstate I'll be very happy.
I have an Event this weekend about 90 miles away so I'll report back Sunday about how it handled!
