i got app last month. only played with it a couple of times. you can only set your marks using google earth, or use the gps and get your current location. since you're not allow to walk on track, then you can't use current location to set your mark, so the only option is to use google earth. but most of some of the newer tracks are not on google earth yet, so you can't set your marks for those tracks. i asked the developer to give an option to set your marks base on your previous lap. he said he will work on it and release it on the next update.

i have used Harry's Lap Timer and it was worked well, but since i got the Droid i figure i'd try it out.

I've been waiting for this for ages! I just purchased it from the market, have to try it now and see how it works.

Can't speak for the Droid, but the iPhone GPS is only 1 Mhz vs. 5-20 for the typical data acquistion systems like TraqMate, etc.

I bought a cheap timing program for my iPhone, and it works great around the block @ 20-30mph, but is useless on the track.
Would you happen to know what the GPS data rate is for the Droid? I can't seem to find it from doing a quick google search.

Thanks for linking me to a search I just did. But no where on Motorola's Droid web page does it state what the GPS data rate is.
