Any updates / pics of the Gendron hitch?

That's really not that noticeable.

I am also in the market for something like this.

I bought a Gendron hitch, installed half of it, then noticed that the holes in the bumper bracket that the other half of it was supposed to bolt into don't exist. I'm going to drill my own; I hope I don't have to remove the bumper to do it. I'm a bit annoyed since the assertion was that the Gendron hitch didn't require drilling.

Looks like a pretty slick and unobtrusive design; all that will show when you're not pulling the trailer are two pairs of brackets a quarter of an inch thick and two inches tall. They're natural aluminum as delivered from Gendron, but I spray-painted mine black before mounting them.

I'll post pics when I get the second piece mounted, but that won't be for a month (work's keeping me out of the garage ).

Mine's an '01 as well. I'll give Bill the benefit of a doubt and assume that this is indeed a model year-specific problem, but anyone considering the Gendron hitch, be aware of the potential need to drill (in a location much less accessible than that required by the Da'Lan to boot).

Complaining aside though, I have to reiterate that the Gendron hitch completely satisfies my primary requirements of light weight and unobtrusiveness, so I'd buy one again.

Where can I get one? I have trailer and wheels ... but no hitch yet. Appreciate any pics you can post.

The last picture shows one of the bolts that needed a hole drilled. The front (small) bracket goes on easily but make sure the bolt threads go into the trunk or you won't be able to insert/remove the pin for the drawbar.

Nice! I need a hitch in time for a 4-May event. Where did you get yours? I've done a search, but can't seem to find out how to buy one.

Thanks for the pics.

Do a search in this forum for "Bill Gendron" or "Small Fortune Racing" - I've posted the address and phone number at least once and others have, too.

You probably won't have it for May 4 - he doesn't keep any stock, making them as orders come in. Give him 2 weeks.

Could you post a pic of the bar on the car and one with the bar detached?

Thanks!
