Default Trailer hold down question.

Is there a preferred way of holding the car down on a trailer? On my Viper, there are oval slots in the frame that little hooks fit into, but I have not heard about any such appliance on the S2000. Is there a "best" way to tie the car down?

There are slots you use to tie down the car. They are on the frame by the jack points. 4 total slots each of which are covered so you will need to look for them and pop off the cover.

I have been curious about this as well. OK, we now know that there are slots that little hooks fit into. Are the hooks a special item, or just the hooks on a tiedown strap?

Thanks...

i did a quick search for these mounting holes....I could not find them.

Anyone tell me where they are?

For this past weekend, I used the crossbrace behind the oil pan on the front and the rear bottom a-arms....not the greatest place, but it worked.

you need what is called a "T-hook" to tie into the slots in the frame rails.

For those of you that have trailered using the T-hooks, how did it work out? Any particular pro's or con's that you would like to share?

I have located the slots and purchased the T-hooks, and plan on this being the primary means for tie down. Any input will help.

Thanks...

Keith

I tie the car car down by looping one strap for both rear tires that ties down with the winch thingy, and another strap for the front tires. Am I doing something wrong???

You can get the T hooks from usatools.com about 5 bucks each. I have been using them on mine. Works good and is reasonably fast to do....
