Transmissions and Clutches
Anyone had any problems with thier tranny or clutch (outside spinning it sometimes, or the infamous 2nd gear synchro problem).
Mine's in a hurt of trouble and I just took it to the dealer and they say it "should" be covered under warrentee, but would not garrentee anything. Anything I can do or say to them to insure a warrentee claim?
Any help is appreiciated :-)

Did they give you a reason why they would not cover the breakage? It seems it is pretty straight forward, unless they are going to cite some type of misuse.
Are they going to claim the modifications are going to void the warranty?
I my experience, with other manufacturers, it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. You may need to talk to the regional Honda rep, a Honda employee not a dealer employee. Keep in mind that the local dealer gets paid very well by the manufacturer to keep you happy. One of the reasons dealers can sell cars at near cost is because they can make hundreds to thousands of dollars on warranty and recall work. Not to mention any routine service work that you bring into the dealership.
I had lunch with the head of sales training of Ford about 6 weeks after I had purchased a Ford minivan. He is the one who explained to me that dealer repairs and service are the profit areas of a dealership.
Let me know which dealer you are going to and the final results of your inquiry. We have numerous options on which dealer we take our cars to, I'd like to know which dealer is going to work with us.

It probably helps to avoid mentioning any competitions of speed, not that I think Auto-X should void our warranties, only less likely to cause trouble.
Definitely keep us posted on dealer response. Seems like many of us have to wrestle with our dealers from time to time.

I took the car to Bellevue Honda, cause another S2000 owner has gone their (Hi Annie! :-) ).
At this time they haven't given me any reason to think it won't be covered under warrantee, but just the fact that they mentioned it, made me nervous.
Anyway, here's the scoop so far. They got the tranny out verified that the clutch is ok, so it's just the tranny. Per direction from Honda USA, They are going to open it up and see what's wrong and try to fix it.

Joe's getting hitched today so my assumption is that checking this list is the least of his concerns!
I know his car did get fixed under warranty. The synchros were mashed and the tranny had to be rebuilt, but other than that I don't know the details...

Hitched!!
I had no idea. Congrats, Joe and Anna...
Awww... what a cute married couple - a Boxster, a Stook and a trailer! What I want to know is which car did they drive away from the wedding, and did they have R-Compounds mounted on it!

Yep, all hitched now :-).
Got the S2000 back last Monday, and all went well with the dealer. All covered, and they ended up replacing the clutch while they were in their. They did note the clutch looked like it had be thrashed a bit %-). But no questions on how I drove it or nothing.
Now the interested part. On the test drive the third gear syncro was grinding a tad when cold. That and there was a slight whine when crusing in 4th. The mechanic that did the work was riding with me and he instantly said that he would have to go back in and do 3rd and 4th. He said I could keep it for a few day while we waited for the parts.
Since then the problems have for the most part, gone away, and when I touched base with the dealer, they tell me the mechanic is no longer at that dealer... Hmmm... anyway, they said not to bring it in unless it demonstraits a problem agian. The tranny does require some break in according to the mechanic and the other service guy I talked with, so this makes some sence. I'm going to drive it a bit this weekend and see how it's does.
I'll let ya know if there's more.
