Purchase Options: Honda, 3rd Party, Private
In my quest for a used s2k I am very hesitant buying from private sellers or 3rd party no name dealers.
How important is it to buy a Honda Certified S2ooo ?
Anyone ever take out the extended warranty ? Is it worth it ?
I hate not having a warranty, although i always have bad experience with them. With my WRX now the dealer blames every issue on my driving or the car having mod's (not sure an exhaust would cause a clutch/flywheel problem)

A warrantee is all about peace of mind. Consider it insurance.
To me, it comes down to whether you like your local dealer and whether you like to have insurance... In my own case, I prefer not to pay for the safety net because (with the S) I really don't think I'll need it. But, I think that's an individual choice, and I won't advise you because it depends on your temperament.
As you cruise this board, you'll see lots of examples of folks who are happy or unhappy with their local dealers. Some are bitter because their dealer denied them warrantee service (often because of abuse). Some are happy (like me) because they have found a dealer who treats them well.
Best wishes as you make your choice(s).
