Default Up the spring rates or sway bars?

If I can withstand the stiffness of springs on the street would I be better off going with high spring rates or a larger sway?

The current setup is AP2, non-staggered 255s, KW Clubsports, no aero. I do have an early ap1 front sway to help a little bit I think I might need a bit more than that to even out the extra front grip of non-staggered. Should I look into a larger front sway or change up the spring rates. I've got a local hookup on Swift springs so I can get them for a good price. I'd probably run about 2k more spring up front than rear.

which do you guys prefer and for what reason? If I understand suspension correctly the higher spring rates would give the suspension more independence than running a larger sway which I would imagine is a good thing?

I'm not sure what the correct answer is, but I immagine it's something like, compute your max lateral g-force and then pick some ratio of springs to sway bars to keep the body roll in check.

I for one, can not afford a new sway bar, so the modified saner sway bar will have to do. I can change out springs for much less, so I've invested in 3-4 different spring setups.

If you autocross in STR, the following will apply. If not, just ignore me. For your tires, you will need a stiffer swaybar, and springs. What is your current camber up front? The more you get, the more front roll stiffness you will need. Currently, I have -3 degrees of front camber, 900 lb/in springs and saner on the 4th modified hole, and I'm still not sure if it's enough. I've also disconnected the rear bar.

details details.

Tires are Hankook RS3. For now I'll be doing autocross with the goal of getting on a real track next year. I'd like something that works well with both and I honestly have far more interest in HPDE than autocross. I'm not trying to be at the top of either just want a good setup to have fun with.

Current alignment is factory spec toe front and rear. -2.8 up front and -3.1 out back.

On a side note I do have a full set of 800lb hyperco springs for the coilovers too that aren't currently installed. I thought the spring rate might be a little too high for the factory clubsport valving. I did think about at least running them up front and then finding 650 or 700lb springs for the rear.

Thoughts?

im running 650/750 springs on the normal v3's with no issues. you shouldn't have any issues running 800's.

I wouldnt go much higher than 600lbs on the rear springs (basically CS spring rates) and not much higher than 700 in the front. From where you're at now, IMO just get a substantial front bar like Comptech or Saner.

I have been keeping an eye on the Saner group buy going on right now. Would you go to 700lb fronts and the Saner bar or one or the other?
