Default upgraded from a 2000 to a 2005...

so i just sold my 2000 s2k that i had for about half a year and got myself a 2005 one. im trying to figure out how different this thing will be on the track. i took the 2000 one out twice, both times with brake lines, fluid, HP+ pads, and Toyo RA-1's with 225/55 front and 245/50 rear mounted on the stock wheels.

my main concern will be my ra-1's that ive only used twice. should i use this on the AP2? how will the size size of the wheel/tire combo affect the cars handling? really don't feel like buying new ones for the stock 17's.

the AP2 is all stock by the way, will probably do some lines again and throw on the HP+ when i do track it.

thanks in advance!

DBW is only on 06+
DBW = drive by wire throttle body
people think that the DBW on the 06+ models have a lag to it. but honda actually did very well with the dbw on the 06+ models and there is no apparent lag. if you've test driven one you would know.

if you had those tires on stock 2000 wheels....then how are you going to fit them on the stock AP2 wheels?!?

reason i ask is because the stock ones on AP1 are 16''. the stock wheels on AP2 are 17''

225/50 245/45...

and youll be fine, get some ap1 wheels for 200 bucks and run those tires. plenty of people do it on ap2s with ap1 wheels

with the AP1, i felt a good amount of oversteer during long sweeper turns, is this gonna be the same with the AP2?

Get a larger front bar and run lots of rear camber and rear toe in. We had that issue with 225/50 and 245/45 street tires at autocross until we went to -1.75F -2.25R camber with 1/8th total toe in on the rear.
