Thumbs up Voltex VS J's Racing

I am going to get a big ass wing within the up coming week but I really have no clue which one to purchase. Here I have limited my selection to Voltex and J's Racing, so please give me insights on the differences and similarities, thanks guys.
I know that J's is made by Voltex, so should I get a Voltex Type 3, J's Type 1, or J's Type 2? What is the difference between each all? Is it true that the J's ones are specifically designed for S2000 and the Voltex is just an universal application? If that is the case wouldn't J's wing top Voltex? So if J's is the right choice, what is the difference between a Type 1 and a Type 2 except the price? Or anyone recommend any other wings? Thanks a lot guys =)

hmmm this brings up some interesting questions and good points. I just got a mugen hardtop(VIS) would a mugen spoiler be the best matchup for air flow I wonder

The Voltex Type 3 = J's Racing 3D Type 2

When speaking with Kel on this topic, I was given the general advice that go with a Voltex Type 1 / J's Racing Type 1 if you don't plan for any front aero. Go with a Voltex Type 3 / J's racing Type 2 if you do plan on front aero. Both Voltex and J's Racing mounts specific for the s2000 (at the edge of the trunk).

As far as Voltex Type 1 vs. Voltex Type 2, I only know the Type 1 is somewhat smaller.

J's Racing Type 1 for reference

Additional information here that i've got.

J's end plate for Type 1 and Type 2 would be different from the 2 types of Voltex end plates u can select for your car.

modMonkey: in your post above, if you look at the picture of the Voltex Type 3 wing, u can see the end plate being different from the J's Type 2 wing the last pic. The J's has a slight kink at the bottom. A shop is checking for me if they have a patent for that or its possible to get the same end plate.

Anyone know if they will make any difference? Personally i think its just a styling deal.

Price wise i've been quoted the same with the Voltex being a touch cheaper.

On height, the J's Type 2 mounts at 195mm but you can choose your height with the Voltex.

What benefit would the "kink" have? It seems that extending the end plate lower would also be beneficial, as they do in F1.

hmm....curious why the lower plate edge would be better? wouldnt it present a face of wind resistance when turning? no clue why the end plate for the j's is like that though.... any one with a suggestion?

either way, i've been told by my shop that the voltex type 3 will have to use the regular end plate not the j's style one. ugh.

for uninterrupted flow methinks the mugen is too low

the J's wing mounts at 195mm

it seems a good height to do so but i will be most likely speccing my wing for 225mm mounts if possible for best flow onto the wing.

any thoughts about this people?

Anyone know if there is a gurney option on the Voltex typeI ? It seems that there is too much irregularity in the main plain for a wing that is going to be mounted at roof height. I'm no expert on aero, but from the looks of it, the Type IV would be a better candidate for a roof height wing. I also like the shape of the ASM wing. Discuss...
