typed a semi-lengthy response, but it got deleted after i hit the post button.
in a nutshell....
this redesigned kit looks very nice and well engineered. i have the APR kit, but have yet to install the brake rotor shields and hoses. even before seeing this kit, i was concerned about the APR shield design and whether it would result in uneven cooling of the rotors and possible warpage. i don't track my S and don't plan on it. OEM replacement rotors are cheap enough to be semi-disposable, but a BBK is on my to do list, partially, for aesthetic reasons. I'd hate to ruin a set of good aftermarket rotors. guess i'll install the rest of the APR kit and see how it goes. if i run into problems, i'll keep the WASP one in mind.
on a sidenote, fwiw, Brian/WASP has always provided me with very good customer service, including communication via PM, email, & texts. i've dealt w/him on several occasions when purchasing my side diffusers and front lip protector. granted, that was before most of the negative reviews and comments about their slow customer service circulated. it does seem like they became overwhelmed as business grew, but hopefully, they've addressed the issues. they make very functional products at reasonable prices. it'd be unfortunate for them to fall by the wayside because of operational issues. that's business though.

anyhow, i'm one of minority in that i take my S on roadtrips. that's where it gets most of its use, besides occasionally running my local roads. the majority of the time, my gf is in it w/me, so i've already made numerous compromises on its setup. while i have conceded that i won't be tracking this S. i used to be pretty active at the enthusiast level in various motorsports, both sanctioned activities and otherwise. i definitely don't baby my S, esp when i'm alone in it.
the stock braking system as a whole is generally very adequate for my needs, but i wanted to get the APR kit because i was curious about its benefits. admittedly, i did like that the carbon bumper ducts would change the look of the front bumper, but i also plan(ned) to tap into the passenger side to feed more air to my air intake. i've mocked up similar systems, w/favorable results, on many of my cars, including my current commuter. i could accomplish the same on my S w/another DIY kit, but i don't have the time or energy as i once did. i work hard and can afford buy an off the shelf kit when i see one that peaks my interest and/or suits my needs.
so, do i really need the cooling kit, probably not. hopefully, it won't have any ill effects when i finally install the rest of it. if so, it will be a bigger waste of $.

^you don't need the cooling kit. But if it really appeals to you then go for it, at the very least if you ever find yourself on a racetrack you won't have to worry about breaking rotors.
To wasp, the new kit looks sick! I had the previous gen kit and I was really impressed with their performance.
appreciate and agree w/the feedback. both the BBK and cooling kit are overkill and unnecessary on the street. i'm perfectly content w/the run of the mill brake upgrades that i've done so far, Stoptech SP pads, stainless lines, & DOT 3/4 fluid.... oh, and my LHT master cylinder brace, which really enhances pedal feel. i won't really need more than that for my purposes. i have the "just in case" mentality though (halfway explains my shoe collection) lol
in any case, the cooling kit & bbk are definitely moreso "wants," rather than "needs." if anything, i will be better prepared if i ever do drag the car to the track. will need to get some more trackworthy wheels though.

in any case, back on topic. this thread isn't about me. interested in seeing some unbiased reviews about WASP's new kit. probably will have to be from folks on the West Coast, since most others have put away their cars for Winter.
Have you got any photos of a full installation from beneath the vehicle that shows the duct routing as well?
I have had your front, AP2 brake duct inlets for quite some time. If you are so inclined to sell parts, I'd appreciate having you send me a PM with pricing for the backer plate/hose outlet part alone.
Good luck with the new kit. It looks like it's well done.
