Watkins Glen sub 2.10 times?
Im again considering building a track car over the winter. Im currently running a vette and want to see if I can compete at the same pace with an s2000. I just ran a 2.06 on sat and will use this as a reference. Im wondering about the builds for S's running under 2.10 at watkins. If anyone is running this time could you post a quick build summary so I can better understand what it takes to get there.
PS: just looking for some quick ideas to help consider this. Not looking to discuss driver or technique

Todd's 2:08 TTC S2000 ~224 peak whp. Setup is basically shocks/springs, wing, and 225 R7 hoosiers, 2800ish lbs
The S2000 is very capable with a good driver.

yeah im confident with enough time there i could have been around 2:06's. What sellier said I have a ttc set up car so 223whp. ohlin dfv's with 13k 10k springs, stock sways, a stoptech bbk, an apr 200 wing, and some 225 hoosiers...
supercharger plus a similar setup and wider tires you are talking about a sub 2 minute car potential.

So my plans were in a nut shell, URGE built Ohlins, custom URGE 18in wheels with R7's and AP racing brakes, aero + a custom blower kit possibly. Sounds like something along those lines would get it done.

Wait on the blower. Do everything else, and drive the car NA for at least a season. There is definitely something special about driving this car NA and hanging with the big boys with 100-200hp advantage over you. Add the blower afterwards.
If you absolutely feel that you must have the blower immediately, then you might want to look at other options as you might be overlooking the point of what truly makes this car so awesome on the track.
FWIW, another user here built an S2k all out and immediately went blower right off the bat - it was too much car for him. You sound more experienced, though and probably won't have that issue. Just my own personal opinion. At the end of the day, it's your money and your car. Good luck with the build.
