Josh,

I'll try to be delicate about this.... but can't really pull it off.

Just because it is that type of driver, doesn't mean it is not "tweaked". From my limited circle, I find that type of demographics not really caring all that much about avoiding curbs, dodging pot holes, or being easy on speed bumps. [ducking and running]

i guess, could you only get 1.5 out of yours also and is this something I should look more into?

At the next event, I would gab with Mark and see if he saw anything that was keeping it from going above 1.5.

I had my bushings replaced with harder rubber. The shop noticed that my 02 had nearly worn out adjustment bushings.

Nice. Makes me feel Ok but having an 85,000 mile motor.

I hate how we need to deal with less than optimal tuning to deal with emissions/knock safety. Notice the rich dips before vtec engagement (right where need it!!) and how it tapers off at redline.

Note that I would never fuel tune a turbo car over 12.0 under boost, even on pump gas. But for NA tunes (especially 60 second autocross runs) you have alot more leeway for leaner settings. I wonder how much power is being sacrificed from conservative timing advance also. Maybe I should check the engine mod forum for that stuff..

Yea I would really like to see my numbers after some tuning. Us na guys can lean out to 13.5 (read by a sniffer) across the board. My peak hp is at 11.1 a/f. I bet it would be a 5-10 hp if it was 13.5.

If you're running STR, might want to try the 02-03 ECU, as that is supposed tuned leaner to get more power out of the motor.

^^ I agree... that is until they decide to change the rules and give us more ECM/ECU allowances. I'm kinda holding out for that.
