Default What alignment settings should I use?

Hi,

After doing 5 autocrosses with a MY00 AP1 S2000 that I got in late March 2011, I am finally doing a couple of upgrades. I think I have reached the limit of the tires that are on the car (300 f/ 400 rear treadwear)

I'm puttin going on some Dunlop Star Specs on my AP1 wheels but I'm going to install a set of SPC camber joint to help with the camber setting on the front.

What alignment setting should I get for AutoCrossing and for HPDE events?

I saw that the FAQ on autoXing but the alignment setting seems kind of mild.
•Front toe - 0" to 1/8" toe out
•Front camber - maximum available (generally between -1.5 to -1.8 degrees)
•Rear toe - 1/16" to 1/4" toe in
•Rear camber - -0.2 to -0.5 degrees more than the front camber

The S2000 is not my DD so I only expect to get about 7K miles out of a set of tires. The car is bone stock. I'll be installing brake pads, lines, and brake air ducts when I have the wheels off for the SPC install.

I'm in for this thread just to get ideas for a good baseline alignment.

I'm running stock coilovers, Saner front bar, 17x9+63 TSWs with 255/40 RS-3s F&R.

Did all that and didn't get an alignment...

But I wanted to find what a good baseline would be before I forked out the cash to get it done.

Not with SPC camber joints, that would put you in BSP.

I would look for around -3 camber in front and about the same in the rear. Zero toe in front and a bit of toe-in in the rear.

Yea, stock classes you have to run stock wheel and tire sizes also... changing you wheel to 17x9 all around would put you in STR if you're running street tires. And even then, the max width allowed is 255.

Just join the club in STR. How many years left at the school for wayward boys?
