Default What to get

Just bought a 2005 S2K Sebring Silver. I am looking to race autocross and possibly other races. I have about $2000 dollars right now to spend on mods or whatever. I need some advice on what I should get first. Any help is welcome and if you do recommend something let me know what the best brands are please thanks....sneek

Brake pads, r-compound tires, lightweight exhaust and driving classes.

honestly if you want to race the car i would suggest a driving class before anything else...and as for the mods to the car itself please search bcs this topic is beaten to death...its all a matter of personal opinion people will go with exhaust gears rims intake etc...

Regarding exhaust, get the single Amuse Titan!

Single lightweight exhaust, r-compound tires and brake pads. Just like everyone before me has said it. Now if you have a bit more to spend, get the comptech adjustable front-sway bar.

Most people lean towards getting an exhaust/intake as their first mod. When you do choose to get an exhaust or intake, make sure you do extensive research. There are so many differing opinions out there about every product available, so many different videos, so many different places to buy them from. My mind has changed about which exhaust/intake I want to get about 8 times over the past 3 months. Speaking from experience, do your research!

Hold back about $500 for brake pads and rotors and fluid, and about $800 for a new set of tires. Then start spending the rest of the money on track day schools. When you start running out of brakes, spend the brake money. If you use up your tires, buy a new set.

Once you are done with that, you and your car will be much faster than you would be with any mods you can buy today.

Don't get a damn thing. Save the money for after you've been autocrossing/tracking for a while and you know what class & venue you want to compete in and how the car needs to be improved. You will eventually need to replace your tires, so set aside some money for that.

The Evolution autocross school is headquartered somewhere out in your neck of the woods. Go to www.autocross.com/evolution and see when they're going to hold classes nearby.
