Where to rent a race car for Willow Springs?
I am from Ky and will be in LA for two weeks in July. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on where to rent a car I can drive at Willow. Thanks in advance!

Depends on who you plan on tracking with. Speedventures has an S2000 that is pretty race prepped, AKA $$$. I talked to Aaron from there a few years back about renting a Miata for my brother as a birthday present. He has a few people he can put you in touch with for more details.

Do you have a specific kind of car you are looking to rent?
Check the trackside support section on cal club
http://www.calclub.com/resources.php
Lots of spec miata / racecar rental offerings there.
You might also get in touch with fastlane race school based out of willow springs. I know they have a stable of cars that are for rent on lapping days to previous graduates.

You wont find much in the way of rental prepped S2000s on that list though, just the more common fare.

Do you want to drive Big Willow or Streets of Willow? As of now, it appears the only Willow track day in July is at Streets with Extreme Speed (7/13-14). They might have a test day at Big Willow, but it's not on the calendar yet. Also, prepare for heat (90-100 degrees).
Here are a couple rental options I know of that you can look into.
1. Speed Ventures like mentioned above can find just about any rental for a price.
2. Extreme Speed has a few cars for rent: http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.c...ck-car-rentals
Would work out well if you went to their Streets track day and rented a car
3. Not a traditional car, but check out http://www.wmotorsportsllc.com/ for a Thunder Roadster rental. It's about $300/day which should be all inclusive (tires, gas, transportation, etc). This is the fastest and most fun rental you will find for the money. I have rented a couple times from them and it was a blast. Ask for Michelle. They store their cars at Buttonwillow now, so you can go their with Extreme Speed on 7/20-21 or Speed Ventures 7/27-28. I'd recommend this option over Streets of Willow, as BW is more fun and not that far from LA. Here's a video in the Roadster @ Streets when I was new to tracking:

4. Andrew at Lang Racing has a couple BMWs and a 944 for rent:

Good luck

Shock, what do you mean by "race car?" Do you have a competition license? Do you want to rent it for a particular race? Cost for a Miata race car for a one day race can run from $700 to over $1000 a day and if you crash it you buy it. Check with the organization you want to race with and they can hook you up with the people that will rent cars for the event.
