Why doesn't BBK = faster stopping time?

uh, brake bias doesn't affect stopping distances either.
It can't make the car stop better than optimally, but a bad bias can definitely make it stop worse than optimally. Consider if the bias were so bad that only the rear brakes were engaged....

Ry, some cars come with the brake bias screwed up from the factory. For safety reasons, you know. They lock the front wheels before the rear tires get close to full braking capacity. Early Miatas and MR2s are like that. Sticky tires help, since they increase the weight transfer forward. Then you have more braking grip on the front (so they don't lock up so quick) and less braking grip on the rear (so you don't want as much rear brake).

yeah and most every bbk just includes bigger fronts making it worse.
I don't think anyone is saying BBK's don't work for any car. But on the S they dont improve anything. (except some weight savings).

One area that I never see discussed is what about high speed braking. Lets say you are doing 120 mph going into a braking zone on track tires and you slam on the brakes. At that speed, you aren't likely locking up the tires, so it would seem that you could use more braking force, so at those speeds, will a BBK with its larger friction surface help slow the car down more?

But in general, being faster is about braking less, not more....

Our brakes can lock the wheels up at high speeds too. Pull your abs fuse and go have fun. Tho do it on a track w/o many walls
Now where can I find a airport to use like those guys on Top Gear.
