will s2000 take the audi TT with quattro?
My brother has owned the WRX and currently owns the 225HP TT convertible. I have driven them both. The WRX is faster but neither is a match for a well driven S2000 on dry pavement in any catagory.
In the rain it is a different story.
The S-4 is a good match for the S2000 and the driver will make the difference in who comes out on top.

I'm surprised to see you guys think this race would be so close. I respect the lack of ego on your part, but there is no way you lose this race with a decent launch. The power to weight advantage is hugely in your favor. The TT weighs about 500 more pounds (3,274 per Audi) and only puts about 170-175 HP to the road after it makes its way through the AWD system. Audi only claims 6.3 for 0-60 on their site, and that's the strength of the TT as far as acceleration goes. If I can beat these things with my Spyder, you should roast them.

While I agree that the S is hard to launch well (too much tire spin needed to get good off-the-line acceleration), I fail to understand the supposed AWD advantage of launching.

[B]Maximum low speed acceleration in any vehicle happens at the point just before the wheels lose traction. It may cost you some life on the clutch, but keeping the RPMs up around 8k and using the clutch to launch the car without actually losing traction at the wheels will net the best acceleration.

Looking at your post encouraged me more to race a cabrio 02 Audi TT 225. Last night I had a talk with the owner and we compared cars talking of who will have who and win... I heard a guy here had a TT 225hp and hit 164 mph! another story is a guy with a 00 S2000 spoon exhaust, modified ECU, Intake was following a SL 60 which hit 167mph + and he said he hit 167mph cuz he was tailgating him (i.e less drag on car) you know what I mean.. Two nights ago I manged to hit 157mph and the rpm was at 8~ iesh I heard it can max out at 160mph. But due to slow driving my bro does its only getting opened up right now when I'm behind the wheel ! I think we are going to race soon tell ya what happened when its over
