Default Work ce28n's

sorry if this may be in the wrong section, if a moderator feels it should be moved, please do. I recently purchased a set of work ce28n's from a local member, sizes 17x8 et38 front and 17x9 et40 rear. I bought these with the sole purpose of using them for the track so I wrapped them in 215/45 front and 245/40 rear rs3's. Had my fenders rolled and all and now after install they seem to be very very aggressive. Now my question is has anyone on this forum run aggressive sizing like this on the track before? I'm not too worried about the rear because it seems to be fine, the front is what worries me most. I know the amuse spec s2000 had 17x9 et40 all around but my guess is that the bodywork was extensively modified. Opinions?

Are they Work ce28n???

Or are they Volk Emotion CR??

In any case. offsets are not ideal. you'll need a roll, slight pull, and rear bumper tab relocation. They can be made to fit, but it's best to keep offsets at +45 or higher on this car.

Probably need quite a bit of camber to run that safely. What's your alignment settings at?

I also think you meant Volk CE* but it's going to be funny reading all the comments about your Vork wheels.

Nope, never, but I am running 17x9 +49 with a 245/40/17 and -3.5 degrees camber up front. That should put your and my fender clearance at about the same point given my wider wheel and higher offset. You should be just fine with your smaller 215/45/17 tire. Go get an alignment and have them set it to max front camber.

Are you rubbing in the front or rear? I am on 17x9+35 2554017 rs3 on all four corners with -3 camber all around and I rub a tiny bit in the rear on track. Even taking the sweeper at buttonwillow really aggressively I barely rub on the left rear. What are your alignment specs?

Way too much work for a front wheel that's only 1/2 inch wider than a stock front wheel and a tire that's smaller than most people run on stock wheels.
