World Import Challange (Do I stand a chance?)...
If you don't subscribe to, or just read, any of the tuner magazines then you might not know that a huge race and show extravaganza is coming to Houston in June, at the Houston Raceway Park. I happen to live in Houston. I had planned on going to check out all the cars and see some races. I was reading a good break-down on the events today in Turbo magazine, and it struck some interest.
It turns out that there is are many (9) race classes including the "Power 4".
[QUOTE][B]Heads-up, Pro Tree [.400] class for FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles with full stock chassis.

You may not do to well.
There are some turbo Civics and Tegs out there that are very very fast.
I'm not sure what it would take to win. A turbo S2000? with 17lbs of boost? J/K.
Good luck if you do it. I am going to the event but not racing. All my cars are slow. Should be a lot of fun.

You don't have to win against such heavily modified engines. Your car & times are respectable and just the competition should be fun. S2000's won't run much faster than yours so, "why not" represent us in Houston.
Our cars are designed to maintain high speeds through corners to get competitive lap times, not run quarters, so if someone is going to run a quarter, it has to be an SC2000.
We won't expect you to beat a single turbo RX7 in a straight line, just have fun and see what your car can do.
