If you don't subscribe to, or just read, any of the tuner magazines then you might not know that a huge race and show extravaganza is coming to Houston in June, at the Houston Raceway Park. I happen to live in Houston. I had planned on going to check out all the cars and see some races. I was reading a good break-down on the events today in Turbo magazine, and it struck some interest.

It turns out that there is are many (9) race classes including the "Power 4".

[QUOTE][B]Heads-up, Pro Tree [.400] class for FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles with full stock chassis.

I say run anyway, I'm sure you'd have fun, and who know's you might just be faster then you think If not, then you will have a good idea what more you would need to do to compete. as for the technical questions...Ummm, drink more coffee?

Might as well go, but you'll get your tail kicked in the Power-4 class.

Essentially, you'll be running up against AWD Eclipses running 30 psi, motor swapped Civics running turbos and slicks, etc. The typical times for these cars is in the 10 second ET range.

You might just want to sign up for a bracket class instead. Then its more about the driver, not what you spent on the motor and you still get to check your times.
