Default XP10 front & rear

I ordered pads XP10 (front) & XP8 (rear) but a full set of XP10s showed up. Before I send the rears back, I just wanted to ask if anyone was running XP10s on both ends and if it was ok?

Thanks!

Provide more details of your car setup... Especially your tire sizes.

Tires are Star Specs 225/245 and spring rates are 500F/400 (F/R).

I run XP10s F/R. It's fine.

Aero? If yes then you'll be fine.
No aero and trail braking will be fun

Curious to hear thoughts on this too, because I love me some trail braking.

XP10s seem to be very flexible pads as far as temperature goes and I did run them all around for a while and they worked fine. I did switch to XP8s in the rear though and got a slower wear rate with them. You probably will get ABS in the rear slightly before the front but it doesn't really affect stability that much. I'm a heavy trail braker and didn't notice much of a difference. If you're not in a hurry then swap them for 8s, if time is an issue then run them and it'll be fine.

I've always run the same pads front/rear, my ABS doesn't work, and the fronts always lock up first, wet or dry, R-comps or winter tires.

That's with XP8/XP8 and with HP+/HP+.

Never any issues with trail-braking instability.

Thanks for the input guys. It sounds like XP10 all around is not too bad so I might keep them.
If I choose to return the rears, I do have an extra set of HP+ rears I can run. Would that combo work ok? (XP10/HP+)
