Default 0~60

I saw a magazine said that S2K accelerate from 0~60 mph takes 5.8 sec. But I thought it was 6.2 sec.

I'm confused......

in one issue of motor trend they tested two cars from each maker...they tested s2000 against the nsx and both got 0-60 times of 4.9

that was a misprint, the S200 DIDN'T get the 4.9 time, I believe only the NSX did.

Ya, 4.9 0-60 sounds a little nutty...I haven't seen a 0-60 time above 6.0 seconds though.

I think the 0-60 times are just anywhere in the 5s from a good to decent launch.

Honda quote the official time for the S2000 as 0-62 in 6.2 secs. If you do the maths that's 0-60 in 5.8secs. I reckon you can go to the bank with that figure and keep your clutch.

Plenty of reviewers have recorded times as low as 5.2 secs. I'd love to do that in someone else's car too. The 4.9 time was later admitted to be a mistake. they got the times of the NSX and the S2000 totally confused..

A lot of mags and manufactures btw are now quoting 0-62 times so be careful when you're reading them. Probably something to do with the Common Market.

And many Honda ads I've seen say "under six seconds."

But, before the car came out all of the articles said 5.5, as did Honda. I personally ran a 5.4 (w/ RM Racing CAI - or HAI as some people think ) 0-60...so I believe the 5.5 claim on a stock S2000.

When I took my car to the track in OK(1500-2000ft I believe), I got a 5.4 0-60 on my G-Tech. I don't know what that would transfer to at sea level but I was pretty happy.
