hey guys you all are quick to call BS on something. Any time the s2000 gets beat its because of the driver or he had big wheels or etc....etc...look if it was a modded steeda he could have pulled a paul walker and thrown in reverse on the highway and blown the s2000 away. This was just an example of a gt winning. Look he may have the steeda body kit who knows, just because a 240sx puts on a skyline conversion doesn't mean its a skyline. Guys we know the ability of the s2000 and personally I know the ability of both because my friends have had them. They are close in speed, but it depends where you catch the s2000. If the s2000 is out of v-tec all you will see for most of the race is the gt's tail lights, but if the s2000 is in v-tec it is a different story. Thanks guys, just trying to show some points to the story and not call BS all the time.

-The people who bought a S2000 was because they know the capabilities of the car, they also know for a fact that a Steeda can run away from it on a drag race.

-The people that apreciate the S2000 dont give 3 shits about drag racing. They care about driving.

-I would love to see a Mustang with the capabilities of an S2000 out of the assembly line. Not even the outrageous R, which as a car enthusiast I appreciate a lot. Power is not everything!

-The mustang doesnt even get close to the S2000 in quality, reliability, etc..

-No mustang has the technology or engineering that the S2000 has.

All I have to say is WHO GIVES A !!!!!! I DON'T, so go to the Mustang forums to posts your shits about some stupid drag race. All mustang guys do is make fun of V-Tech and its all beacuse they don't understand it (ignorance)

V-Tech is one of the greatest technologies in order to make an engine more efficient. HONDA cares about efficient and clean technologies not just money like your FORD MOTOR Co.
No wonder HONDA is the most efficient and cleanest car maker in the world. I know this is off-topic but just giving u a taste of what Honda is capable of doing with its technologies, which Ford has to be borrowing from others. Bottom line Ford is far behind Honda overall so just go post shit about your white trash ferrari somewhere else.

Thank You.

hey brutehares2k, You know you have to feel pathetic, ford has jaguar, maserati and volvo, which a 2002 maserati coupe will out handle and out perform an s2000, the volvo s60R will also do the same, and jaguar has a couple of them that will do the same. So I was never saying anything about FORD, but just had to throw these out there to make you look like a dumbass. Oh and don't say ''hey those aren't ford'', because you would be quick to bring up the nsx but Honda just owns acura. So maybe you didn't read my post right, I wasn't taking sides just stating my opinion.

What a bunch of ing whiners. The engine in a newer Mustang GT is much more powerful than the engine in the S2000. It has coil-on-plug ignition, meaning a separate coil for each cylinder. Does the S2000 have that? It has an overhead cam design. It has 8 cylinders. It has a mass-airflow sensor system that is very accomodating to mods. It uses direct-port fuel injection, meaning the fuel injectors spray fuel on the backs of the hot valves, vaporizing the fuel as it enters the combustion chamber, for better air-fuel mixing and a more even burn. The car is heavier, yet gets the same or better gas mileage as the S2000, while making more power. You can bump the power up to 400 horses with a Vortech or nitrous on the stock block, and not have to worry about breaking everything. (Stronger rear-end and axles are available if you want to use slicks). The car is engineered better than the S2000 in the powertrain department, hands down. And we are talking about the cheapest V8 car Ford makes, at least $10,000 dollars cheaper than the S2000. Yet some S2000 owners are so threatened by the GT, they cry foul whenever it is mentioned.

Most of the people here are cool, but the ones who whine and cry like babies every time someone posts a kill make me glad I don't own a Honda anymore. Those crybabies are going to post ten pages now in response to this one post, and they all are going to be sputtering and spitting about crap they know nothing about.

Ok I mistyped VTEC uhhhh, just that the phone brand gets to me LOL.
Look you should feel stupid. Acura is not owned by Honda, Acura is Honda which is a different story.
Jaguar is British not American, Maserati is not american and Volvo either so what does that tells u? Ford may own parts of those companies but its not Ford, and FORD doesnt compare to Honda, again go do some homework.

Werd.

BTW: I used to own a red '97 Steeda GT (actually, my wife did, but who's keeping track, right??). Anyway, they're 2 COMPLETELY different cars, built for very different things. I have no doubt a well-driven Steeda GT could take out a stock S in a straight line, or vice-versa. We all know many of these races come down to the drivers. This race was no exception. No excuses, just reality.

That s2000 has an injen intake and a mugen exhaust. It also has 2 12" subs in the trunk.

For those of you saying it was the driver........
The driver has ran a 13.92 @101.8 in that car. How many of you have ran 13's with a basically bone stock S2000?!?!

Looks like steeda found the lone video of him pulling the s2000 to post up . The other 2 runs that night the s2000 was slightly pulling him, and a couple were dead even. I have the video if anyone can host it. The 2 cars are near identical in exceleration once passed 120, with the s2k probably pulling around 130-135.
