A friend of mine has an 03 gt eclipse 5spd stock. I have an 02 stock 2k. We started from a 5 roll, my top was down and when we hit it we were dead even til third gear thats when i started pulling easily. Now i was surprised since i thought i should have had em earlier and by more sooner. But that wasnt the case. Anyone? I know my top was down but still.

 

The only explanation is you = bad driver. You should've beaten him much sooner than 3rd gear. '03 Eclipse GT has 200hp, but much heavier than an RSX-S, hence slower too.

Were you in 2nd gear @ 5mph? That would explain it if you were. You should've started pulling right away from 1 st gear.

You'll kill a GS... I raced this Eclipse in Kent, Wa... I killed him so bad the first time, buslengths to be exact... that the second time we raced my buddy spotted him 2 cars, I was like wtf are you doing!!! My boy Derrek said trust me dogg you still kill him... So he counted three, pointed at the eclipse... then me... same result. I kicked it's ass. GS won't compare... Maybe the GSX!

 

The dude asked me if my s2000 was 0-60 in 5.0 flat... It was funny sh!t!

 

Yea, you did something not right there buddy. I pulled up beside one a couple of weeks ago that was hooked up some what... exhaust, rims and airplane wing (all i could see on the outside). I pulled him by 3 car lengths by the time i was mid 3rd gear, no contest. I didnt bother posting the kill because i felt the race was insignifigant and more or less a waste of gas. He tried but resistance is FUTILE!
