I have been curious about how my car would handle against an E36 M3. It was around 12:20 am and I was going back home with my wife. He was behind me and pulled next to me and rolled down his windows. I did the same thing and I revved my engine . He waved at me with his both hands and tells me "so do you wanna race me with that thing? I don't think so." I just smiled at him as we were approaching the lights. Guess What? The lights turned red. It was a 4 lane road and I pulled to the left he pulled to all the way to the right as there was 2 SUV s in mid lanes. My wifes goes "you love this don't you?" and I said "helll yeahhhh" and she asked me If i can take him and I said, if he is stock ,i should be able to do really good, if not I don't know. I said "just wait for the green light" as I revved the engine (m3 was doing the same thing)
The light turns green and here we go. I had a perfect start, as I hit around 7-8 k i had a good car length on him,and a smooth shift into 2nd and he was in my rear view mirror.When I hit the 3rd I was a good 2- 2,5 car ahead of him.
He came next to me and asked me to take it to another street but I was 2 blocks away from where I live, I just smiled at him and told him that I needed to go.

The best thing about the race was my wife waiving at them as I started to pull on them.

I think next time he will threat an S2K owner with a little more respect.

the E36 is suppose to be a drivers race with a stock s2k, but sadly the E36 ///M's havent aged to well. my buddy had a 97 with I/H/E Dinan chip and he could never keep up with me. but to his credit his car did have 130k on it.

 

yes we we were both in 1st gear in traffic. I don't remember saying anywhere in my post that I was going 100mph on a highhway and rolled down my window and talked to him. If you read carefully, right after that conversation we were at a stop light.

it is Ok though, I respect everyone's opinion.

 

I am not sure how many miles he had on his car or what year E36 was it.
The only thing I remember is he was a young cocky kid and talked to me like he was driving a ZO6 and I was on a Scion TC.
