We had just left the late night diner and proceded to merge onto the freeway. I did a quick vid run up to 131 and started to come around the corner when I noticed a car pulling off the side of the road onto the freeway. It happened to be one of my firends from the diner that was waiting for me to catch up. We have been wondering how faster his car was than mine for some time. With an RB in a 240 there won't be any way the S will win but a fun run it should be. Gives me a bench mark for the S before I start modding the crap out of it.

So we come up to the straight with no traffic in sight. We jump from 45mph and we are off. He is by my side till third gear and then he really started to pull. he pulled about six cars total up to 135. I got the whole thing on video so I could look over the race. He had a nose on me at the end of second and was just pulling past at the end of third. In fourth is where he got me. From the end of third to 117 is where he made the space. After that he really didn't move anywhere. The gap didn't increase or decrease for that matter. Explains why when I raced my other friend with the pumped up SR he didn't get very far ahead of me in second and third before we shut down. We both had passengers and my top was up with almost a full tank of gas. He was just about empty on gas but the results still would have been about the same.

Back onto topic, if you didn't have a passenger and full tank of gas, you would've still lost, but maybe by 4 cars instead of 6.

Explain to me what an RB is. Is it the Skyline's motor? Yeah, good luck beating him.

 

That would be a Skyline motor if my letters are correct. However it is an older one. My other friend has a SR and is running Exhaust, Intake, Header, and larger intercooler wich pulls past the RB when they run. Not by alot but does keep pulling. I figure when the RB gets the same mods I will need some good power up high. I figure if I can get about 100 lbs of weight reduction (10lbs short by the end of the week), no passenger and 10lbs boost of a supercharger I should take him. He didn't keep walking me so I am hoping he is within striking distance. Maybe he will force a turbo build.
