On my way to work (why do I always get messed with on my way to work at 6:30am???) and a "dressed up" mustang pulls up next to me.

I say "dressed up" because this guy had Cobra body parts and symbols. There is no way that this thing was a Cobra!!! Anyway, the light turns green and we both take off mildly, like anyt other stop light, and then he jumps on the gas.

Stupid me, never wanting to be left behind, I also jump on the gas. By now, he is 1/2 a car ahead of me, but I'm pulling on him. Coming up is a hard right turn, with both lanes open to make the turn.

Right now, I'm thinking, "Beautiful, let's see this guy take this corner with me!!"

We both are approaching the corner, and he goes to slam on his brakes, while I downshift through the gears and ease on the brake. My corner entry was twice as fast as the Mustang, I make the last downshift to 2nd gear, turn and WOT! Wheels squeel and catch and I'm outta there!!!

I look in my rear view mirror, and the Mustang is finally completing the turn. In the end I'm like 6-7 cars away and gone.

Another kill for me on the domestics!!!

 

Stories like this always make me wonder if the guy was even racing.

 

Most likely not. People think I'm racing them because of my loud exhaust.
