I have a question for versionJDM, you have the high HP NA S2K, do you think if you had 4.77 gears you could break 13 sec in the quarter with some decent tires, not drags but decent tires.

why does this guy keep insisting on saying a stock STi is faster than an Evo in the 1/4? How many 12-second stock Evo slips does he need before reality hits?
Would links to TV shows dragging them both bone stock be enough proof?

This discussion can now end, why? Because Road & Track has finally run an EVO RS to a 13 flat, matching the STI's time.
'06 EVO RS: 13.0 @ 104.9 - Road & Track, Dec '06
'07 STI: 13.0 @ 103.5 - Motor Trend, '06
However, an MR is still a 13.3 car, the very same as an '04/'05/'06 STi.

It doesn't matter. He'd rather believe that everyone else is lying or faking timeslips than to accept that magazine times are far from accurate.
2. It doesn't matter either way really, neither car stays stock for long, and the better driver usually wins the race.

1. I believe individuals are less accurate than professionals.

Neither car stays stock, and we all know what happens then too.
I think the trap speeds on those times also shows that one is faster than the other, but wasn't driven to its full potential. FYI: The people that broke 12's all trapped almost 3mph faster than the mag times.
