16 cylinders vs. 4
Ran into two f-bodies going at in on the freeway, so I decided to join in. One looked like an LT1 camaro, with the angled headlights, and red z28 on the sides. The other one was a newer Firehawk, with massive hood scoops, and aero-kit. After I caught up to them, I lined up on the right, camaro in the middle and firebird on the left. We all paced down to about 80mph and from there I dropped to 4th (could've went to 3rd for a quick burst, but I didn't, should've though). Once we were all lined up, I took the jump and got about a half car on both of them, before I could hear the roar of 16 cylinders next to the drivers side window open up at full throttle. The Firehawk quickly made up the once car difference and began walking both of us. The camaro pulled even, but did not get a head. 115 and shift into 5th, firebird now about 2 cars ahead and camaro somewhere behind. 130 and firehawk is 3-4 cars ahead and camaro has been left behind. We all shut it down because of traffic, and camaro pulls a quick exit.
I haven't had enough yet so I line up with the firehawk again. I keep it in 4th at about 75-80 right at about 6k rpm. We do a couple of more runs, and it wasn't that bad. If I got the early jump, he would walk me, but not as bad as I thought it would be. If he got the jump it was much worse as there was no way I could keep up or catch up.
