cruisin, top down on braddock. lt1 stopped at a red light in the left turn lane. i pull up in the next lane to go straight. the lt1 changes lanes to get behind me. i take off normally and half a mile later he quickly pulls ahead of me. we get even and mash it, i pull ahead and get in front of him cuz i'm gonna turn right soon. we make the turn with him on my tail and i go wide and he takes the inside. i was in second on the turn till i hear him gun it a car back so i drop to first and it sounded dead even through 3rd. then i had to hit the brakes for traffic. we evened up again and i honked 3 times but he didn't go, so the fun was over. i gave a thumbs up and he just stared. he had at least exhaust and the ram air hood.

coming home on braddock a 350Z passes me and matches my speed (60). i pull up and after a while he finally jumps it. i didn't notice till he was a car ahead because his car was so quiet (auto?) so i dropped to 3rd and passed with no problem, he let off immediately. my top was down too. i didn't expect that but o well.

 

Nice runs...I know when we ran a Z we could take him 1/4 mile but he would start to gain on us after that, so be careful. As for the LT1 most are pretty slow, we beat several in the S2k as well.

 

i blame that on the LT1 being a 12+ year old car.....they seem to have gone down hill like 5.0's have.

just you wait, S2K's, Z's, and even EVO's will get 100+ miles of abuse and run significantly slower than stock.

 

well kept, the LT1's do quite well....but admittedly with a 12yr old car or newer, time is hard to beat with just general maintenance.

 

a properly running LT1 will be a dead even race with an S2000
