You should be able to take an E46 M3 with a blower kit. E36 M3's make 240 hp, and can pretty readily take the new M3 with a 7 psi Vortech blower. [Hell, a cammed E36 M3 comes pretty close to running with the E46, but the gearing is so short on the E46, it's tough to run with them.]

Don't see why an S2k shouldn't do the same.

M3 is one well engineered car.

I raced one (hardtop) uphill in the mountains about 4 months back. It pulled pretty hard from me out of the corners but it didn't seem to be quite as nimble as the S2000. We talked for a while afterwards...both of us were surprised at how well the S hung with him. In any case, he was a nice guy and it was a treat to see that car run up those hills.

hmmm
How about the E36 M3s with AA stage 2 turbo? hehehe I heard they put out around 450hp for the M3s. Pretty cool for BMWs, but the down side is the price of the kit. It costs around 10,000 for the kit. But, I think it's worth it if you can afford one. The fastest M3 was built by the AA I think put out around 700 horses. It was actually white 325is with bore and stroked 3.2 engine I believe, correct me if I am wrong I am trying to refresh my memory about year ago. It was pretty nice looking I loved it. BTW, I love M3s before S2000 came out I always wanted to buy M3s even the new ones but no money

Can anyone here honestly say that if the new M3 was the same price as the Stook that they would still get the Stook?

I can't. Let's face it, bang for the buck both cars are hard to beat - just takes a few more bucks to get the M3

Yup that's true. M3s are pretty expensive and stupid $tealers are charging $5,000 over the MSRP. That's why I am not even thinking of getting new M3. I just want a nice S2000 and mod it

The thing about BMW $Tealers are that they treat you like $#!T. I went to 3 freakin different Dealers in America. I have one 2 words for them "THEY SUCK" whenever I go to the dealer for my oil filter or some parts. I don't ever want to go back. One time I was waiting for a Freakin oil filter for 15 min. Front of me the store clerk was on the phone, like she didn't even notice me. I just hate BMW dealership I just want Honda. Honda is good for a asian guy like me.

M3s (333Hp) are no joke! Even with SC, they may still be hard to catch.

I have a downpayment on one if anybody wants it. My sales guy (he sold me an E46 328Ci) keeps calling and leaving messages asking me what options I want. I keep avoiding calling him because I love me S2000 sooooooooo much.

The fastest M3 from AA is a M3 Lightweight Statge III Turbo charged. Stage III is a very specially prepared Turbo from AA. One thing I found out after talking to Fred (The father of Michael who owns the shop), I went to the same high school as their neice. They are my neighbor also. I didn't find that out until 5 years afterwards. What a shame!
