not knocking or razzing the SC -- but I doubt a SC'd S2K can beat the M3 -- probably keep up

the turbo is another thing though....but it's like cheating you know?

I had my heart set on the new M3, then after long production delays and out the door prices in the stratosphere, I went with the S2k. Even with the dealer markups at the time (back in March 2000), it was wayyy cheaper than projected prices for the M3's.

At 45k, it would have been too good of a deal to pass up.

[B]Yup that's true. M3s are pretty expensive and stupid $tealers are charging $5,000 over the MSRP. That's why I am not even thinking of getting new M3. I just want a nice S2000 and mod it

Cheating... how do you figure? I call it compensation. We have a 2.0l 4 cylinder, we need a little 'equalizer'. I have had the opportunity to mess around with a new Smurf Blue M3 on the highway and they are fast. I had to downshift to 4th (already doing about 80) to start pulling away. I'd say they're on par with a C5 manual, at least on the highway.

I personally have not run an E46 M3 yet, but I can imagine it tearing me a new one with the latest magazine road tests. I did however run Wes, and lost by alot to give you guys a comparison of a E36 M3 (Dinan CIA/ Software) and a SC Stook.
