OK didn't race one but saw one in red yesterday in South Miami on a flat bad being towed to the dealership, I assume. For less than $20K, not a bad car at all. It would make a great daily driver, I think.

 

Iv'e been thinking about getting one of the older ones and dropping a honda engine in it. I could get one for about $500 either here or in Canada. The wheels will stick out an inch or two but it will be wickedly fast. Not to mention a death trap.

I saw one a couple of months ago at Comptech. They have one in their garage....all decked out with racing stuff. Pretty neat car.

Yup.. for about 23k? you get a almost fully loaded BMW (albeit a small one)..
not bad at all...

Plus.. the Cooper S is a supercharged one... I wont be surprised if it could
turn up the boost by a simple chip swap..
(30hp for $400??)

 

MAV, saw one about a week ago down by Coral Gables. It was blue with white stripes on 17" BBS RC's. Looked sweet! The license plate was from Jersey, I dont think they are selling locally yet.

 

seeing as a supercharger is all mechanical, turning up the boost would be a different pulley, and quite possible less than $400
