met up with some s2k folks (about 10 of us) and we went for a drive on some twisty roads. later, we were joined by another 2 s2ks and a 05 or 06 rex (think it was a 2litre). after a bit of touge, we went to a long empty strip of road to chill and chat.

one of my friends running only a mugen catback wanted to run with me (i had only a j's 70 dual catback and i still have my cat in place) and we ran. j's seems to have the edge and from a dig (i started off gently with a launch around 4k rpms) til >100mph i was leading by about 2 cars+ and pulling.

next up, 2 guys decided to run. one with a sideplant (his exhaust has a valve that exits somewhere around the middle of the car so effectively his exhaust is shortened) and fujita along with someone with a j's 70 dual and gruppe M intake. Both guys have decatted. 3 of us lined up and from a rolling start we went again to >100mph. guy with the j's and M intake was first but only by half or 1 car length. the sideplant dude was ahead of me but only by a bumper.

a guy with an aem v2 and stock exhaust said he wanted to have a run too. we went from a 1st gear roll and i let him hit full bore first before i floored it. Before we hit 100mph, he was maybe 3-4 cars behind me and i was still pulling.

finally his friend with the wrx said he wanted to have a go. i was kind of worried since his exhaust seemed pretty big and loud but he claimed his car was stock otherwise but probably had at least a decat along with that. we went from a rolling start in 1st and once i hit vtec in 1st, i pulled him a car length. in 2nd and 3rd i inched up maybe half a car length more and it stayed that way all the way til about 110mph when i shut down.

we turned around and were about to turn back to the group when i noticed a pair of bikes headed our way on the opposite side. Yikes! the popos! the wrx dude scuttled off to a nearby station but i headed back to my friends cos my car was legal anyway and i knew no one could say for sure they saw us doing anything.
