Default 94 911 VS NA S2000

I just had a cool encounter on loop 360 in Austin with a 90s model 911. I'm crusin in the sun about 10 mins ago and I see a 911 about 40 ft in front of me in traffic. The guy driving was older so I wasn't sure if he would play. I maneuvered to his right side and shifted to neutral and gave him a pop (my exhaust is very loud). We were both going about 50. He rolled up to my door and started to mouse his throttle. Just then some room opened up for both of us and I slowed down to 40 and slipped into second and he seemed to do the same. We both nail the shxxt hard. The porsche starts tippitoeing up on me. We hit third right away and by the time we hit 100 he had half a fender on me and shutdown. My s is modified but NA. We stopped dead next to each other at the next light and he wanted to talk. "What have you done to that thing?", All kinds of stuff, I answered. "It sounds wicked". He informed me that "this is my civilized car" and that he had two Lotus in his garage and I told him he should have driven the lotus. My hands are still shaking!

Not sure about the year of the Porsche. I think it was a 94+ because it had the wide rear end with flared out fenders in back. Smooth rear end vented with molded bumper and said only carrera. Looked like the early awd models maybe? 3.6 liter with 300 hp? anyone know how they are geared?? I felt like I just needed some carbon underwear.

1990-94 had a 3.6 with 247hp. The 95 had a 3.6 with 272hp. However, both the 964 and 993 have similar performance.

good race.

220hp ? I thought I did that to but not close, try to do a dyno, maybe your car is sick.

I learned my lesson, no more N/A.......FI

My car has had much more work done for handling. That is important to me mostly for safety reasons. I want to live. My car has terrific handling capability with negative camber to spare. My friends tell me to boost every time one of them sees the car. How does turbo effect handling, predictable power, wheel slip, etc. Most race cars are NA for a reason eh?

Yeah -- because the regulating bodies slowly pulled out the ability to run F/I because they were going too fast not because there is any inherent advantage to running N/A and making less power.

Turbo cars are incredibly hard to regulate and most organizations would rather just ban them than try to come up with effective regulation strategies.
